Hilary has worked extensively as a dramaturge for playwrights at all stages of their careers, and also mentors emerging playwrights. She has taught playwriting at a wide range of institutions and organisations – for schools, councils, writers’ groups, NIDA, and at theatre companies such as Griffin and the STC; and in the USA at New York University, Wesleyan University, Connecticut and the University of the South, Tennessee. She has been writer-in-residence in schools, youth theatres and theatre companies.
